The Mitchie Mitchell Foundation Scholarship Guidelines
The Mitchie Mitchell Foundation provides scholarships to high school seniors whose lives have been impacted by drunk drivers. The scholarship amount vary from $500.00 – $1,000.00 and will be awarded on October 3rd of each year during our annual banquet. The scholarships will be awarded annually to students affected by drunk driving who plan to continue their education through either a college, university, technical school or training programs are eligible for this scholarship. There is not a GPA requirement.
Eligibility:
High school senior
Directly impacted by drunk driving – meaning either the individual applying or immediate family of those injured or killed
Lives in the United States
Application Requirements:
The student is to write a compelling 1000 -1500 word essay detailing how drunk driving has impacted your life. Photos may be submitted. Things to include (but not limited to) in the essay:
What occurred, date, when and where
How it impacted your life
What you have learned from this experience
What you are doing to share your experience with others
All essays become property of the Mitchie Mitchell Foundation and the Foundation retains ownership, publishing, copyrights and distribution rights.
Essays must be typed, double spaced in Times, 12 point on white paper 8.5 x 11. The cover sheet should include:

Essays must be postmarked by July 31st of each year. No emails are accepted.

How Funds Will Be Distributed:
Funds will be paid directly to the student upon enrollment verification.
